promote items separately

When you’re looking to promote items in your business or store people tend to generalize instead of giving fans the details they require to make decisions. It comes down to a feature versus benefits exercise that is always a successful exercise. You provide details and scenarios where your products provide solutions, and the customer is able to make an easier decision.

Telling everyone the specific details of your item is ok, most of the time people can figure out the basics. There really is no reason to mention a zipper here and a screw top there – but what really matters is why that zipper and screw top are in that particular item. Does the zipper provide faster access in and out of the tent or does it block the wind better than a few Velcro fasteners? That just might make a difference in very cold, windy weather. Tell how it blocks the cold. Place your customer in the scenario where being warm in the tent really matters – then they might agree that having a zipper option and a Velcro option are perfect items and your product has both! Plant the seeds of survival with your product over less thought-out brands.

The ability to carry an item while on a trail and have it fit nice and compact in the back of your car – these are two important things to note as well. Show us a picture of the item stored away next to other items. A picture really makes a difference when you promote items.

Just take a close up photo of the item you are promoting. Show it stowed away, set-up and how easy it is to break it down if necessary. Convenience is what you are selling. Make it easy to use and effective, and this is an easy purchase decision. Promote items the way you want to find information!

When is the best time to get new items for your hobby or home? Before the season starts preferably, right? Be ready in February to promote spring camping trip items – better yet – hopefully you were enticing Christmas shoppers with new camping gear as gifts! Just be ahead of the season.

promote items and use google business profile

With these great blog posts and video blogs on your website, it gives your social media person something to link to from all your social areas. Pretend it’s like a volleyball game. You lob up for the serve with a great post that has key SEO elements and internal and external links and then your social person posts it out to your Google Business Profile, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok audiences. Not on the same day of course! But you might want to track the links to see what platform connects with your efforts the most.

Your analytics account will easily tell you which audience is sending you the most traffic on certain blog posts. Be sure that your social media person has access so they can see what account is in tune with your brand better – and they will post more often in these areas. They will also comment and follow other accounts to give you even more exposure – remember it’s not just about posting – it’s about engaging when you promote items.

I see that many social media managers just think they should post and post and post. This is not the way to manage your social areas. You want to direct folks to areas on your website like blog posts, specials, pictures and more. Promote industry news too – especially if your company is winning awards!

Remember that your social manager is there to also block spammy comments and protect your company against attacks from foreign countries. Did you know you could block certain countries from seeing your FB page? Yes. It’s simple. That would really protect your firm from lots of bad actors trying to mess with your brand. I will post about this soon. In the meantime, take a more detailed approach when you promote items. A general view is not what people are looking for and if you waste peoples’ time, they will no longer follow your page. Be diligent and provide good information with humor, pleasant posts and fantastic pics. Good luck out there!
